about The Author

I was born in Savannah, Georgia, and raised in Moline, Illinois. I was the sixth of fourteen children in a home full of energy, love, and discipline. At just a year old, I was diagnosed as legally blind due to optic nerve scarring, but I refused to let that define me. I poured myself into football, excelling in high school and college, where I earned several awards. That same determination has shaped every part of my life, from raising my own big family of four sons, three daughters, and twenty-six grandchildren, to the passions I carry today for pickleball, chess, board games, and, of course, reading, the instincts that now guide me as a mystery fiction author and suspense fiction author.
